Outdoor Play and Learning at Fyvie Castle Estate
NTSUSA’s Emerging Leaders Committee, made up of the next generation of NTSUSA supporters, has selected outdoor play and learning at Fyvie Castle Estate as its fundraising focus for 2026.
An anonymous donor has pledged $2,500 in matching funds toward the total project budget of $10,500, meaning that the value of your gift will be doubled if you give today. Help NTSUSA’s young supporters give back to the National Trust for Scotland’s youngest visitors this year!
A New Space to Learn and Play
The Fyvie Castle Estate is 123 acres of woodland, loch, and wildlife, popular with the local community and schools, scouts, and youth groups. But there are no outdoor play or learning facilities to help visitors actively engage with the landscape. We’ve been working with Fyvie Primary School to design a new woodland play and learning space beside the Fyvie loch with distinct areas — Young Explorers and Woodland School — that will allow children to explore, engage, and connect with nature. Made from storm-felled timber, these bespoke outdoor classrooms will be built in partnership with trainee craftspeople from North East Scotland College.
Your support will allow the creation of these new spaces, opening up areas of the landscape for young Scots to learn in nature and promoting their active health and wellbeing. Join us!
