Brodick Castle Walled Garden
Brodick Castle’s beautiful gardens have undergone a transformation this year with stunning new trails opening up for visitors to explore.
We now plan to restore the Walled Garden: installing the borders with plants that are unusual and not widely seen in Scotland, playing to the strength of Brodick’s climate. As per the plan created by garden designer Jeremy Needham, grass slopes in the walled garden will be terraced with sandstone. Infrastructure work including wall repair, drainage work in the walled garden and on site, and replacement of the shed roof in the lower walled garden will be completed and a semi-permanent hard base will be installed to allow for events. Together, this will leverage investment and excitement in the recently re-opened Castle and draw attention to these beautiful gardens.
